Catching up

Ok, so I am so sorry it has been so long since I posted anything. I'm not really god at this stuff, but I do like the idea. So let me just update you on a few things.
Dareek and I flew to South Carolina to visit my mom. It was awesome. Alot of firsts. Dareek's first plane ride, my first plane ride without Donnie, Dareek played pool (in the bar area of a restaurant) for the first time, and the first time I hugged my Mom good-bye like that. But over all the trip was wonderful. I think it really helped my Mom's home-sickness, also helped her feel more at home or the possibility of home. She is still talking about moving back or at least somewhere closer to Tulsa. And she has vowed to be on the first thing smoking if/when I get pregnant.
Next new topic, Donnie and I have decided that we are both on the same page and ready to get pregnant. It's so funny cause 6 months ago we both adamantly said we weren't having any kids. Now, we're both so excited. Donnie's been trying to play coy, but I found out that he quickly told his parents we were trying. And he excitedly talks to anyone who will listen about it, even the lady at work who's been having dreaming for months. I've only been off the pill for one month so we have a little while. I just want to pray that God continues to bless my family with what He feels is best and in His time. This time is so different than 10 years ago. I have a man in my life that is more involved than me, one who is by my side thru anything and I want to give him the best. In preparing, I have decided no more drinking and I am starting an exercise regimen. We both have been reading any Internet article that Google provides and trying to follow the suggestions. Funny, I didn't do any of that 10 years ago.
As the holiday season approaches, I notice I'm not in the spirit. My mom may not come to visit. I am however, excited about going shopping on Black Friday. Due to the economy, we will be shopping sales only and less is more. The best part about the holidays is food, family, friends and laughter anyway and none of those are for sale. So we should be fine! I would really like for me, Donnie and Dareek to spend our holiday money on a vacation. But according to the budget, we may only make it as far as OKC (ha ha ha!).
